The Lost Island

Once not so long ago the Catii live on an island paradise.
Warm and Wet, the humidity hung in the air of the lush jungles. There where pleasures to be found at all turns: Trees to rest in, claw and climb; fruits tangy and sweet that wets the very appetite as the fresh juices dribble down your chin; and plentiful small games to hunt to the hearts content.
The Jungles of Arutaka where most likely the most peaceful place in the world, and had bobbed in the sky longer then any could remember, were an existence whose health was nurtured by the loving and guiding hand of the residents. The beautiful island was a meandering place of with an ease of life that allow for a leisurely existence for it enhance.
Everything was fine on the long hidden island, until it became the first inhabited island to fall out of the sky, and then the Catii where forced out onto to the door steps of other nations as refugees...refugees that had not existed prior to their cataclysm, as far as the other races were concerned. Treated as outsiders, and often looked at with a hint of distrust.
Now a people without a home the Catii roam traveling independantly to prevent unease, in hopes of one day finding a new island of their own.

Geography

An oblong jagged edged circular island ringed in lush jungle, easy to traverse terrain, with a larger opulent Catii city at it center sournding a crystal blue lagoon.

Fauna & Flora

Osmins - Small Mink Like Rodents that feast on the fauna and bread by the dozens are hunted for both sport and food.
A verity of fruit and nut trees.
Dragon fly like insects that grow up to 7 inches on the island.
A verity of beautiful island flowers that are cultivated for decorations.
Most of the above considered wiped out of existence with the lose of the island.

Natural Resources

Wood cleared from the Jungles for housing, tools, and the general health of the Jungle. Water drawn from the clear a beautiful lagoon.
Fruit grown and harvested by hand in the Jungles.
Aether crysals taken form the soil.
Meat and Skins from the Osmins.
