Defences
Walls:
Constructed of thick-hewn stone nearly 100 feet tall and 30 feet thick, the capital's walls have large garrison towers at regular intervals.Towers:
Gates:
Some of the towers have large gates with drawbridges that can be quickly shut in case of emergency.Infrastructure
Water:
Water in Golden Harbor is delivered via aqueduct to the city's various cisterns, and is managed and kept pure by The Waterkeepers.
Food Production:
There is a constant influx of foodstuffs being imported into Golden Harbor, but the city itself has a thriving fishing industry, as well as a host of farmers that grow grains, fruits, and vegetables outside of the city walls.
Medical Services:
Most of the medical services in the capital are provided by trained healers or clergy of the The Holy Tetrad. Clinics are relatively easy to find in the nicer districts, but rougher areas of town strain the thinly-spread medical resources.
Roads/Transport:
The city of Golden Harbor was meticulously planned by ancient architects to have a vast circulatory system of roads and highways that would maximize efficient transportation between disparate areas in the city. The ancient roads are wide and well-maintained and cobbled. Newer roads (typically those is younger areas of town or less-desirable neighborhoods are muddy, narrow, and small.
Emergency Services:
Law enforcement and emergency fire services are mostly handled by Storm Sentinels, but occasionally, the need arises for volunteer firefighters or militia members.
Sewers:
The sewer system in Golden Harbor was designed by brilliant Gnomish and Human engineers. The complex system leads several miles down the coastline and empties into The Valeshift Sea. The Waterkeepers maintain the sprawling sewer systems, purifying the water, and clearing out debris constantly.
