The Temple of Gahyo and Norza
A temple of sun and moon, life and death, beginning and end. An endless eclipse, and a cycle.
Architecture
It is a large limestone structure, shaped into two semi-spheres and adorned with golden sun and moon shapes. It has many iron supports, shaped into intricate yet sturdy patterns, and the entrance is an arch adorned with a mural of an eclipse. One semi-sphere is decorated with glass mosaic tiles to look like a cloudy palace, the other resembling a rocky canyon wall.
Inside of the temple is rows of intricately designed pillars, framing fountains with glass mosaic sun and moon symbols. further in is an altar, and a marble statue of the sibling deities- Norza, Goddess of Death, and Gahyo, God of Life.
History
The temple was built to honor the deities of life and death, by the early Arachanens. Over time, it became more and more known, and it, along with the mountain it was built on, became shared grounds, too important for any conflict to be allowed. The temple itself is still mostly visited and cared for by Arachanens, however, others groups have been joining them in the worship and upkeep of this area.
