Arshan Wood
Arshan wood is a high-quality wood from the Arshan Forest. The Solis Empire is waging a war against the Arshan Freeholds to get an unobstructed access to it. They plan to use it to build ships for the Sun Navy, the empire's military fleet. On the other hand, the arshans consider the forest sacred and mass exploitation of its resources is considered evil by them.
Get on with it! We need to get those trees to Fort Sundown before nightfall!

Arshan wood is very sturdy, but also very easy to mold into a desired shape. Thanks to that, building with that wood is simple and fast. Those qualities are important for the Solis Empire when building ships.
Origin & Source
Though in most forests of the world the wood quality differs between different kinds of trees, in the Arshan Forest all trees have the same high quality of wood. Some say that even the trees that normally one wouldn't consider good for ship building are very good in the Arshan Forest. The most probable cause of that is some sort of a strange magical phenomena unique that region of the world.

Usually, the woodcutter teams only do the most basic work with trees they fell. They cut off the branches, remove leaves and generally prepare the tree for transport to a sawmill where further work is done. There, the bark is removed from the tree and it is cut into planks. The ready material is then transported to storage buildings where it waits until there is a use for it.
