Iksu
You'd better bring some water if you're not an Iksie, the sun blaring down on the largest desert kingdom of Solirium will dehydrate you before you know it. The Iksies have a close relationship with their neighbouring city, Mitz, and regularly purchases seafood from them and thus, have a close allyship. Iksu currently has a neutral standing with Graceridge and but are wary of them as the
Matriarch of Iksu has information of regards with the crystals and would rather not pick sides in a war she wouldn't want to be involved in. Iksu has no business with The Bluewell Islands despite being close by due to hatred after the war of the celestials.
Leadership
Iksu is currently run by the matriarch
Naisha Orok. Her method of ruling is of a peaceful one where she keeps a good relationship with Mitz due to them getting seafood supplies from them.
Naisha Orok is an extremely mystical leader and thus, keeps contacts with the God
Ael'k and the celestial Sitan closely. This means that there is a high demand in the respect for the culture and the religion of Iksu and thus, totems are erected constantly in respect for
Ael'k and Sitan. In return, the blessings given to the people of Iksu have kept them safe from natural disasters and diseases for a long time.
Demographic
The citizens of
Iksu are of mystical dark-skinned people. They are extremely polite amongst each other generally and are generally fit from hunting the gigantic fauna that roam around the deserts of Iksu. They have developed a system of agriculture which keeps their economy stable through the help of the blessings they constantly receive from their celestial. Iksu does have an army which is lead by general Russkan and despite not being in any warfare in many cycles, they still manage to hold themselves well amongst others in Solirium. The Iksies are of people of strict self-discipline and are willing to die for their kingdom if required. The Iksies generally do not have any hatred towards any other faction.
Totem System
Totems are constantly erected within Iksu as respect for the God
Ael'k and the celestial Sitan. These are hand-crafted by the people at the expectations of the Gods and the lore for design goes back to ancient history. The style of the totems that are erected around Iksu grants blessing to a specific area based on their design and lasts for a moderate amount of time (at least two seasons).
Lake of Dara
The Lake of Dara was evoked during the war of the celestials and had landed towards the east of the kingdom of
Iksu. This had the Iksies curious on what it was as it was created by either the Celestials of the oceans or the God of the ocean so curiosity got the better of them. Luckily, the Iksies discovered that the waters of the lake had properties that when concocted into a potion with other ingredients could cause that specific potion additional potency and a longer-lasting effect. This allowed Iksu to build a military and a medical fortress along the lake to harvest its magical properties and as well to guard it well.
