The year is 2590, and humanity has breached the barrier of space. Although not yet in reach of the vaster stars beyond the system, humanity has done well for itself, spreading among the planets and asteroids of our own Sol system. In the 600 years since our own time, much has happened. Politics have changed forever. New cultures have emerged and grown.
