Cragtown
Defences
The crags surrounding the city make for effective natural forts, atop them are built short palistades from which the defenders may sling whatever objects they have at hand against the encroaching force. When reaching the town itself attackers are beset by walls of earth or stone depending upon from which side they have laid siege. The earthen wall protects the settlement's north, as the crag passages are too narrow for attackers to bring siege engines of any worth, whilst the southern side is protected by a vast stone wall through which the only entrance to the city is a wide, open ramp to its heavily defended gatehouse.
Architecture
Squat homes of wood and thatch form the majority of Cragtown's dwellings. Within the richer district of the town proper the homes become taller structures of stone & brick raised upon mounds of earth & rock, painted with the colours of their owning clans, with gentle roofs shielding balconies from harsh rains.
