Crypt

Essentially the Akashic Records of Slaitoraph and Pharostial beginning when the Arcanist first descended into the worlds.

Purpose / Function

A keep of all spells and everything on the Arcane. It's basically an extended version of the Codex, but that teaches you how to manipulate it at the equivalent of an Archsage. It basically has information on anything in Slaitoraph.
The crap you can find there ranges from Fell Star anatomy to how to kill a god to how to cure an incurable disease. The information is all incredibly hard to decipher, and when the information is conveyed, a tragic event is likely to befall the speaker.

Design

Rectangular library. Set up like some typical library hallway with a long-ass middle hallway and lots of bookshelves stacked perpendicular to the walls with a second floor.

Entries

There are no entryways besides the door, but there are stained-glass windows that do not open. They always have light coming through them.

Sensory & Appearance

Lighting's not great. It smells like old books in there.

Denizens

The Archivist. A strange, cryptic shadow monster that lurches through the library. It has read every book in that library so if you need a quick source of information, you can ask it anything and it could tell you. Except its role is to keep out unwanted visitors, so unless you figure out how to get it on your side, it will probably just "eat" you and warp you back to Slaitoraph with no memory of what just happened.

Contents & Furnishings

Not much in the way of furniture. It's basically just all bookshelves and some tables.

Valuables

Practically invaluable books are stored in this library. Even one book that's got the same information as some standard atlas would be worth at least ten times the price of that atlas. The fact it's from this fabled archive is enough to a history buff lose it.

Hazards & Traps

The Archivist is the kind of massive horror of the place, but it's just lonely so if you approach it first with a genuine offer of friendship, it will listen to you.

Exists in some sort of weird field of quintessence.

Architecture

Gothic library - basically like dark academia but dustier and more ruined. There are golden accents and decorations around the place. It's a little bit like the HoDom's domain.

Defenses

Must be accessed through the Outerrealm labyrinth. It's very hard to get to from this way. It shows itself if you just give up looking for it or if the Arcanist guides you there.

Created in the outerrealm by the Arcanist.

Tourism

Maybe like 4 people have gotten here. There are very few records of it, but it is referenced sometimes in old texts.
