Skyhead Region
The Skyhead region of Skydaria is the far northwest section of the continent which looks like a gryphon's head. It is the one location in Western Skydaria where the birdkin did not naturally settle in and becomes the home to the joint birdkin-gryphon nation of Veldera.
Geography
Skyhead encompasses the head region of Skydaria. It is connected to the the rest of the continent by the Napel Mountains. There are several rivers and streams within this region as well as mountainous terrain. Veldera's capital and largest city of Velos is located near the center, along one of the major rivers and located within a valley.
Fauna & Flora
Animals and plants represent what is found in the Rocky Mountain regions of Canada and the northern United States. Wolves, bears, and raptors are the dominant predators with deer, rabbits, and rodents as primary prey species. Fish are primarily cold-water species such as salmon and trout.
