Crew's Skycutter
A discontinued model of the Sky class, it has since been replaced by the upgraded and improved, Skyrunner.
Skycutters are a combined scout and exploration ship. Made for maneuverability and endurance. They were first commissioned around the early-middle period of the current Airship timeline. Due to their development far prior to the Confederacy laws regarding Skyglass, this class has a system that is able to handle vastly more powerful Skyglass than contemporary skyships.
This ship is the crew's (our main protagonists) base of operations and home. Captained by (Main Character).
Once vibrantly painted and state-of-the-art, it was since left to rust abandoned in a scrap yard until the MC purchased it. Has since been repainted but there are always spots that show through to the metal due to the conflicts the Crew inevitably find themselves in. Because of these conflicts the ship is pockmarked by burns and shell damage. It is a three-surface aircraft with swept wings (perhaps variable-sweep wings?). Mainly uses the Skyglass engines but has auxiliary sails as well for further control, maneuverability, and alternative propulsion.
The ship has been heavily modified though. Now it is more akin to Frankenstein's monster than just smaller modifications. It's in part this extensive modification, that has helped the crew escape more than one tight situation. Those unimpressed quickly learn to respect it's unexpected firepower and speed. There are also modifications to create discrete storage spaces (i.e. smuggler's holds). It holds an upgraded sensor system. Utilizes standard radio-telegraph system for communication. Most of the Crew sleep at least two to a room.
Inadvertently a good security system as only the Crew or very close allies know how to run it.
The Captain claims that "...she has the heart of a queen and an attitude to match, haha..." and "...that I might have spoiled her by giving her the best...".
