Valley Dungeon

Details of the first dungeon crawl.   The dungeon entrance is obvious, a big crack up the cliff making an entrance at the bottom, flanked by berry bushes dripping with fruit, and poisonous mushrooms growing in their shade.
Room 1: >> The dungeon is lit by the occasional glowing root or rock, giving them enough light to find the way. It’s a simple tunnel of dirt and stone, opening up into a small chamber after a bit of walking. It looks like it was inhabited at one point, broken crates and torn fabric littered around.   >> Investigate Glowing Rock : They don’t have treasure auras, but they are indeed pretty. >> Investigate Crates : Alas, just broken wood. >> Investigate Fabric : It looks kind of folded, a faded colour. It’s a satchel bag! Old and very worn, with no buckle, but a bag nonetheless. >> He’s found a larger grey bag, and a conveniently tiny brown bag

Room 2: >> Attack! A huge orange centipede drops onto his back, biting at his wings. It kinda stings. >> bites are smoking with a faint purple mist. (Poisoned) >> Eat the centipede

Room 3: >> The next room is another round bubble, this time with a lot more stuff. Dusty boxes and tiny chests, broken wood and interesting gleams. There’s a few sparkly rocks on the floor, granite pebbles with bits of quartz and mica.   >> Inspect Treasure Gleams : >It’s a fossil! Chipped and cracked, but recognisable as an ammonite. >Key for treasure chest Dave's scavenged all the obvious treasure and lots of random other things. He's claimed all three fossils and a skull, and he's set aside everything else, including a hammer, several old nails, (from the crates,) that he collected into the smallest bag, and a small leather belt that might fit Sho. A polished piece of blue glass, a gold rivet, a fancy knot trailing a rotted bit of cord.   >> Treasure Chest 1 : It’s a sliding knob in a little maze, with three possible sockets to fit into. Each socket is painted a different colour. >> INSIDE : Silver Ring and Crown. No magical properties, just cute accessories. >> Inspect Ring : It’s fairly plain, with just a raised band of dots around the middle.   >> Treasure Chest 2 : This one has a tumbler, with pictures of different flowers. The box is also painted with flowers. >There’s only three flowers on the box that match the lock, different numbers of each. >> INSIDE : Inside are three gems, semi-opaque semiprecious stones cut in large facets. “...jadeite, rose quartz, and jasper.”   >> Treasure Chest 3 : Keyhole. (Key is in the room) >> INSIDE: Jewelry necklace chain, There's a few intricate wood carved coins with flowers, a couple metal ones with runes on them, another simple ring, and a couple metal buttons.

Room 4: The corridor is blocked by two big fat beetles. They lift their antennae as the dragons round the corner, but don’t attack yet. (Scarabs) The beetles are mobilising, wings buzzing and mouth-parts clicking ominously.   The fire crisps away the beetle’s antennae and curls the wings under its shell, stopping the buzzing, but it seems angrier now, charging forwards at top beetle speed.

Room 5: It’s another treasure room, this one neat and clean. A few tools are leaning against the wall, along with some folded cloth and spooled thread, a pouch of seeds, a metal bowl that could be used for cooking, and three appropriately sized knives. Shovel, rake, tongs/pliers, hatchet, needles, cooking spoon.   They’re basic crop and herb seeds, but we’ll need to prep a garden patch for them.

History

Its an old dead dragon lair with more horde at the end In the skeleton was my idea, yeah. Climbing through and over bones, desiccated tendons and skin Died on its hoard, rotted down so some treasure sticks up. It could be too noxious/toxic to dig, effectively gate it with increasing poison damage Final boss could be the dragon’s ghost, just outside the mouth of the skull, at the last of the treasure
Monsters
Centipedes and rats, undead fly swarms, scarab beetles
