Hatchling Valley
The world outside the cave is bright and green and big. Hatchling dragons start out around kitten sized, for the plants and trees to tower above them like that.
Regarding a flower, just outside the cave. As a Hatchling, it's like looking at a flower through a magnifying glass
At this scale, he can see all the tiny details, fine hairs and bits of pollen on the petals, the slight translucence and stripes of subtle colour. Also the tiny bugs busily living their tiny lives inside, weaving around the stamen and pistils in their explorations of their vast world.
A small flower bush.
So many more flowers in various stages of opening, woody branching stems and soft leaves, the edges ruffled. There’s a little bug in the crook of one leaf, busily making a little mass of wet bubbles.
It encases itself in the froth, hidden in its glob. A couple of ants are exploring the plant, crooked antennae waving. One of them is all dusty, brown grains clinging to the stiff hairs of its body. It stops to groom, licking a forefoot and running it over its head like a cat.
