Treaty of Iron Colonies
The Treaty of the Iron Colonies is a document signed to signify the unification of multiple sovereign states into the Rhomedan Empire. Signed in Keronigrad, it marked the end of decades of conflict, both militaristic and economic, between the core states of Rhomedan and the satellite vassals. While it ultimately cemented the status as vasals for Daredan, Kuridan, Diczedan, Tarodan, Friadan and Konodan it also granted them representatives in the Halian Congress. So far they have been content with this form of participation.
Citizens of the signing states were henceforth viewed as members of the Rhomedan Empire. They did have a slightly lesser status, in the beginning, being hindered in rising to higher posts in military and ministries, but they gained the right to travel, resettle, work and trade within the empire.
In the following years, more vassals entered the treaty, namely Haridan, Crodan, Ekoridan, Ionodan and Jeledan.
