Yanámo

On the outskirts of Eneih, near the mountain range that separated the kingdom from Telenholm, stood a keep. After a falling out with the current King of Eneih the lord of the lands was forcibly removed and the keep was in disrepair. For a few years it remained in this state until an unlikely group of adventurers was offered the deed to the keep. They called themselves the Siriande Wall Appraisal Team, SWAT for short. They made the keep their headquarters before setting off on their wild adventures in the rest of the world, leaving Spirit in charge. A small community grew over the years that the SWAT didn't return and eventually Leyliana, one of the original associates of the SWAT came back there, baring news of the loss of the original adventuring group.
Together Spirit and Leyliana worked to build a small community there, where they wanted to create a sanctuary for those that weren't welcome elsewhere or that didn't feel at home anywhere else. They named it Yanámo, an Elven translation of 'Sanctuary for everyone'. Throughout the years people came and went. The years after what is now called the Sundering of Siriande proved especially trying for the community, with harsh weather conditions and terrible crops for several years following. They adapted. Had some people join them from the now abandoned Citystate of Enyaltelen, and formed a Triad to govern the day to day. Leyliana in charge of the infrastructure and logistics, Spirit in charge of the natural resources around them, and Modderlun in charge of security.

Demographics

Yanámo is a varied community, open to welcoming people from any walk of life. Being situated in Eneih most of the people there are of Human heritage, including several half-kin. The races represented in the community are as follows:

The age brackets in Yanámo are relatively top heavy, with most of the people in the 18+ bracket. The overview below is divided in three groups, the children, teenagers and adults. Children are expected to attend school, some teenagers are allowed to take on apprenticeships, the adults are expected to contribute to the community with a vocation.
