Stone Fist Dwarves

In an ancient conflict between the Anvil Hearts and the Stone Fists over Dormark Maurr the latter group was driven deep under the mountain, into the underdark. Their dwindled numbers and disorganised retreat into the deepest darkest reaches of the caverns made them an easy prey for the Illithid below. For centuries they were thought to have been all but extinct by their surface dwelling cousins, where any encounter with the race was quickly sent to the realm of fairy tales and ghost stories told to children to scare them straight. This was, of course, before they rose again on the coattails of the Demonic Wars.
Nobody knows exactly what happened between them and the Illithid during that time of global turmoil, just that they have now come back more fierce and a lot less forgiving than before. The time under the boot of the Ilithid have made them bitter and grim towards any surface dwelling race. Constant raiding parties plague the cities of the Dwarves in Dormark Maurr. From before their exile the Stone Fists have been very different from the other two Dwarven races. The differences being attributed to the fact that they were crafted in the image of Halgayil. Their skin a slate grey with white, grey and silver hair with piercing eyes of glowing red.
Much of Stone Fist culture and society was lost in their exodus from the surface areas of Dormark Maurr. Now they are a cruel society that thrives on the suffering of others. Pillaging and stripping any place they raid, with stolen weapons and armour usually bronzed to match what little aesthetic preference they have.
