Midnight Elves

Midnight elves are the direct descendants of Corellon who attempted to explore the Deep Pool in the early ages of the world. They encountered strange aberrant creatures and were unable to return to the surface; instead, they were transformed by the depths and otherworldly powers they found. They have been witnessed by both historical and modern expeditions, but most survivors of these encounters are reticent to discuss the creatures who make the crater home. Midnight elves behave much more like beasts of the ocean than the social humanoids they once were. They are primarily concerned with survival and defending the Deep Pool from interlopers.   Like many deep sea creatures, their skin is pale and translucent in places; it is easy to see their heart beating and blood pumping, and their hands and feet are nearly transparent. Their hair is iridescent silvery white and is extremely long, often longer than they are tall, and can be controlled to lure prey from the edge of the caldera. Their elvish ears have evolved into large webbed frills. They have pointed, claw-like fingernails and a mouth of razor-sharp teeth, and may also use weapons, tools, and armor left behind by explorers. Their eyes are colorless except for an unusual prismatic and oil-like sheen.

"Their hair is iridescent silvery white and is extremely long, often longer than they are tall, and can be controlled to lure prey from the edge of the caldera."   This is well described and I immediately envisioned the silver hair wrapping around their victims.
