The Cradle of Stars
The Craddle of the Stars is the easternmost island of Sienne. The mountain in its centre, an ancient volcano extinct since the dawn of time, is home to two holy places. One built for the worship of the Moon, the other for the worship of the Sun. This geographical situation is a source of conflict between the two powers present on the island, who are trying to seize the crater torn open in the mountain at all costs. A much older people, however, occupies the majority of the island and has been forced over time to divide and take sides with one or the other of the conflicting nations. Thus for centuries the borders on the Cradle have been shifting. A century ago the followers of the Silver Lady almost disappeared from the map and it was only through bloody battles that the balance of power was more or less restored... for the time being.
