Song of the Lightbringer

This text, now considered the "Third Canon,” is the third piece of religious text put forth by the church as the word of Celestine. In addition to this text an old prophecy has also been canonized, as the Emperor believes that now is the time of the Prophecy of Saint Terasul the Prelate. This new canon concludes with six new prayers at the end of the document, one for each archangel and another used for any lesser angel [not shown here].     Faith is the light of the goddess that shows us the path through the darkness to eternity. That light has revealed to us new truths and possibilities to our Emperor, and he wishes to share all that he learned with you. Our faith in the goddess and her Divine Chorus has ushered in an age of peace and prosperity, and we believe that this age can transform into something even more. The Emperor believes that we have entered the time foretold by the Prophet Terasul the Prelate, one where there will be much potential for turmoil, but also for the utopia of Elysium to exist here on the Mortal Realm. We believe that from the faithful, a champion will emerge, chosen by each of the Heavenly Chorus, to champion their aspect of the goddess and will fight alongside the archangels themselves to herald in that new era. Now more than ever, it will be imperative to keep the faith and strengthen our bonds within, and without. It is time to go forth and spread the teachings of the light both far and wide.     The Heavenly Chorus are the embodiment of the goddess. The time is approaching when they will walk among us, and fight alongside their champions to purge this world of corruption, ushering in a new era, where Elysium and the Mortal Realm will become one. But for the rest of us, who keep the faith but are not capable of such great deeds, we can aid by empowering the avatars of the goddess with our faith. A new set of prayers have been canonized as well, one for each of the Heavenly Chorus, and another for all the lesser servants of the goddess. This allows a greater connection for the average folk, poor or rich, noble or common, to have a greater connection with those celestial beings that serve the light of the goddess. Prayers to the greatest embodiments of the goddess, the Heavenly Chorus, regularly and with great passion, for they are her greatest strengths.     All, great and small, should pay tribute in prayer and practice to the core tenets embodied by the Heavenly Chorus, as they are the guiding principles of our faith. With these ideals the path will become clear. A utopia cannot be forged without justice and truth, two uniquely linked virtues. Those who live a life where these virtues are prominent are best suited to practice the worship of Judica and Veritas. Likewise those who have devoted their life to the creation of order, which our society is built upon, should take on the practices and prayers of Paragon. Those who have a pure heart and untarnished faith in the goddess are qualified to devote themselves to Excoria, they will be among the most important in the trials to come. Finally, those of noble blood, or who lead their people on the path of righteous light should worship to Rexos, in order to receive his great wisdom and leadership.     For the smallfolk, the goddess and her chorus has seen fit to send them the lesser angels for the causes closer at heart to the commoners, who are the lifeblood of our faith. For those warriors or soldiers seek the guidance of the angel of battle Bellis, or for the vicars who tend the smaller flocks throughout the world, Voxcelus, the speaker of the heavens. Those who spend their life on the ocean should seek the good fortune of Ananiel, angel of storms, while those who choose to hunt on land should pray to Venandi, the hunter angel. The farmer should pray to Messis, angel of the harvest, while artists to Artifexos, angel of creation. Common folk of every path should look to Unex, angel of respite, for peace and relief in times of strife. All those in service to one of the many noble bloodlines that keep our realm safe should practice the attention embodied by Legatus, the angel of service.
