Zebra insults

Within the zebra language there area a variety of ways to insult another. Often the context is important however as many of the insults relate back to the tribes, so they can be both insults and complements depending on the situation. Such as if a female is called a Delinia this can either mean they sleep around or are a natural mother.

Geographical Distribution

This is common all throughout the zebra lands and are used universally. Xivix use other tribes almost exclusively as insults.

Delinia- slut, whore, green thumb, natural parent, fertile, simple Zeicx- Hermit, strong, healthy, having strong willpower, headstrong, set in ones ways Hy'till- Healer, gentle, weak, cowardly Kull- Silent, inbred, racist, xenophobic, fearful of change, distrusting, assassin Renshe- Honorable, strong, cruel, narrowminded Ko Tor- Pirate, sharp eyed, thief, dexterous Sheek- Wanderer, groundless, survivor, loner, lonely, cheap, merchant Xei'el- wise, quiet, unreliable, prone to disappearing, shadow, mysterious Zirix- Intelligent, fool hardy, destructive, shortsighted Xivix- Power hungry, short sighted, over ambitious, traitor, fool (This is the only tribe that is always an insult) Muro- family, powerful, worthy (This is the only tribe that is never an insult)
Common Female Names
Names are noun-based and often based on what a being is good at/ will be good at. Some examples for a delinia female would be: Gentle tone, Fertile fields, Radiance. This tribe values fertility and life, and so would be named accordingly.
Common Male Names
Names are noun-based and often based on what a being is good at/ will be good at. Some examples for a Renshe male would be: True strike, Swift blade, Tactician. This tribe values combat and tactical ability, and so would be named accordingly.
Common Unisex Names
Names are noun-based and often based on what a being is good at/ will be good at. Because of this many of the names are unisex. The difference in naming will be based on what a tribe values in its adults. Zecix: Wisdom, temperance, physical ability Hy'till: Medical ability, bedside manner, charisma Delinia: Life, plants, charisma, reproduction Renshe: War, combat, physical ability Xei'el: Wisdom, stealth, knowledge Kull: Physical ability, archery, animal taming Ko Tor: Ferocity, speed, balance, leadership Zirix: Technology, advances, learning, teaching, ambition Xivix: Ambition, magic, power, fear Sheek: Loyalty, ability to survive, team work
