Shardis

Thousands of years ago, the world was shattered. Like shards of a broken mirror, each piece contained a reflection of that which it once was, and a tie to the other pieces. From this ancient origin springs forth untold magics, which the gods used to forge a new world. Can this shard be a whole unto itself? Or is there a way to reunite it with the others? What would happen to us if we did? What inconceivable threat was able to strike such a blow? Will it return to finish the job?   A hero is more than their role on the battlefield. With diverse origins, not only will the race of your character matter, but the culture from which they came, the organisations which they join, and the futures to which they aspire will all play a part.
