Minor Breakdown of Earth Colony Ships

Earth humans created 3 to 9 ships capable of long distance stellar travel. They all could survive for very long times. They did specialize in bringing 1 of 3 main staples of humanity. Culture, including art and music. Technology including power generating materials and equipment. Life support/ Food ships including seeds livestock and certain life support technologies to survive on an otherwise inhabitable world. Of course all the ships would be equipped with enough technology and food to endure the trip which would take 2 decades hopefully and no more than 4 decades. All groups of different ships would need to travel some what close to each other to ensure survival in case any of the other 2 would run into trouble. There would be 3 sets of 3 types of ships. Each group set out to different directions in space.
