Shadowrun

At first a run of the mill Shadowrun world, with many elements that are to be expected.   More than a century after the events of the early campaign, the world is fully transformed. It is ruled by an organization known as the pantheon. Their headquarters is a massive fortified pyramid is the center of Kretovia, the last remaining major city on the globe. All non-humans are hunted, and therefore live on the fringes where they are less likely to be found out.   The pyramid, named the Eidolon, is surrounded at it's base by sprawling slums where the less fortunate live, where law is more of an abstract concept than a solid foundation. The lower level of the pyramid is known as the Foundation, and is home to Kretovia's lower class, who form the pillar of the Pantheon's rule. Above this, there is the Malleary, where all the serious work gets done. The next level is called the Red Church, and is at once a place of worship and a mighty citadel, cutting off the lower levels from those above. This is followed by the Mezanine, a place of luxury and indulgence for society's elite. And finally, separated from the Mezanine by near-impenetrable defenses, lies the Glory, the peak of the pyramid and home of the Great Leader, God King Kretov.
