Writing space
I have a study nook all set up, but also will use my ipad to roam as required.
Writing plan
Word target
It takes me about an hour to write ~650 words... IF i stay focussed.
This will mean, if over December I can conservatively spend 15 days with dedicated writing (hopefully more), with a 25% buffer, it'll mean (10,000/650*1.25 = ~20hrs over the 15 days. So... will aim for between 1 and 1.5 hr sessions.
By FOCUS, I mean avoiding hrs on Google translate and the thesaurus trying to come up with names. I will use a tagging system for [needs name] while writing if I can't come up with one quickly, to keep flow. I can then search later and fix when I have the time.
Sprint plan
Will wake up early to spend half hour before work. And half hour minimum in the evenings. Will dedicate 2hr blocks on a weekend day.
Between Christmas and NY I will be at a family friend's beach shack in northern tropical Australia.. so will get some sort of aircon and hide myself away between scuba dives to write. Over this time will aim for 2hrs per day. This will be final sprint times, so hopefully will have some focus. Might need to change some target articles to suit the tropical times perhaps the Tangled Fathoms!
It is time to avoid the Xbox too. Discipline needed there during Covid times.

My partner is a musician and producer, so has said she'll use the same time to write some hits - so we're creatively egging each other on. My weekly D&D group will get some questions for their inspiration too.
