Hainanese Clan Association

The Hainanese Clan Association is a non-governmental, non-corporate organization to connect people of Hainanese descent within Singapore. The Association supports many initiatives within the community, and is supported by generous donations from within the community. They have a small office in the downtown area, which serves as the public facing headquarters.
In 2049, the Association became a major driver behind the formation of the Orbital Workers Union. In 2050, they were also acknowledged for their role in foiling the ploy behind the Boeing Parade Incident.

An Open Secret

While the Association has thousands of annually-contributing members, its active members number only around a hundred, and are dispersed throughout the city, hailing from diverse callings. These respected members form a strong network of mutual support, seeing benefits from sharing resources to elevate other Association members to prominent or influential positions within the community and corporations. These resources often change hands as an informal exchange of favors, though these "favors" can be remembered for generations until they are called in.
