SEVEN DAYS. I can't believe we're still waiting for the Port Authority to clear us for berthing. I've spent a full week here, just in sight of the shore, waiting for a spot! But we can't offload until we've finished our inspection. "Randomly selected" my ass. I heard HSMBC is handling this one. Hopefully it'll be fast.

The craziest thing happened today! I met this cute girl. She was part of the HSMBC "Pre-inspection" team, whatever that means. She and two guys came onboard in the morning on one of those sleek black patrol foils. The Chief Oh brought them up to the bridge and, she said she wanted to interview us, and ask us about the ship, to make sure everything was in good order. I got to show her around the cargo deck and we got in our Freight Spider to give her a ride.
But then apparently, one of her teammates uncovered something that they need to pick up off the boat. She said her employers didn't want to be kept waiting. But wasn't she with HSMBC? I guess they take other clients every now and then... I didn't really want to get tangled into that mess... who knows she's really working for?! I didn't really want to get in her way either. So I let her have the reins on the Spider, and she can sort out whatever needs sorting out...

I got real worried when a SATS patrol boat pulled up alongside when they started offloading the freight. There was a tense argument between them about whether they were allowed to do that. But the SATS folks seemed to back down. So I guess it must have been alright.

HSMBC team boarded to conduct a pre-inspection. I was interviewed by one of the officers. She asked to be allowed to pilot the Freight Spider to offload a flagged parcel from the ship. I was hesitant but agreed, not wanting to escalate the situation with the Port Authorities. I didn't want further delays to affect the Disney-Amazon delivery schedule.

The HSMBC team was also briefly interviewed by a SATS patrol boat. The latter seemed to have found the situation to be satisfactory, and they disembarked without issue.

Complaint filed to HSMBC Blackwater

Subject: Unauthorized offloading

At approximately 0810 this morning, SATS Coastal Patrol #293 intercepted an HSMBC Blackwater gunfoil, identified as the Bow, in the Western Holding Anchorage area. It was docked alongside the Millenium Hornbill (IMO A3940FA). Two HSMBC officers were observed offloading without permit two metallic containers, approx 2m in length.
As per the terms of the contract for Additional Waterborne Freight Inspection (2048)B, HSMBC officials are not to offload materiel from vessels under inspection. Moreover, HSMBC watercraft do not have interdiction powers outside of the Pasir Panjang Fulfillment Center port limits. We would ask that disciplinary measures be enforced on the officials of the identified gunfoil, and the detained goods be returned immediately. Forthcoming penalties will be assessed to HSMBC Blackwater.

We regret to inform you that no watercraft from HSMBC Blackwater was operating in the Western Holding Anchorage, or within Pasir Panjang Port Limits. Additionally, we have no gunfoil by the name of "Bow". Please clarify the details with your staff regarding this complaint, and resubmit via the following link.
