The Vessel

Of all the many mythological artifacts that supposedly followed the Hollow City to its doom, one in particular has led many a desperate soul to pursue a way to find the lost city, and that is the Vessel.   An object of particular reverence, the Vessel was used in many an ancient legend to restore the broken to full and complete wellness. No matter what ailment plagued their body, no matter their age, no matter the cause of their pain, whether physical, magical, or mental, an individual who drank from this chalice would be renewed, body and soul. For those who require care beyond what healing or medicine can accomplish, the Vessel promises relief.   Since the rediscovery of the Hollow City, the quest to find the Vessel has renewed with a fervor. Potential resting places include the Labyrinth and the underbelly of the Arcadia, neither of which have been fully explored. But it should not be forgotten that the temple was found to have been looted clean of anything that may have been inside it, which very well could have included the Vessel. If that was the case, then seekers have a plethora of potential avenues to pursue. Indeed, if any of the artifacts from the looted temple happened to have made their way into one of the Sanctuary zones pre-sundering, then it could very well be in someone's treasure vault to this day....   Concrete identifying markers are a bit sparse in first hand accounts, but it is agreed that the Vessel's most consistent descriptor is that its color is compared to the sun shining through mead, which means it is almost certainly made of gold. Most scholars agree that it was most likely some kind of ceremonial chalice, perhaps with simple decorative elements, and certainly not so large that it couldn't be handled by an individual with a weakened grip, as there is no mention of requiring assistance to drink from it.
The Cult of the Sacred Immortal Chickens insist that the secret to the Vessel is not the Vessel itself, but what it contained, which was surely some form of chicken soup.
