The Hons (hun s)

The Hons are a predatory mercantile guild that preys on the vulnerable and desperate.   There are strict requirements for buying inventory from your superiors to sell to the masses. However, if you recruit your own "selling team," you can pass these obligations on to them, and they are required not only to buy inventory from you/your superiors in the hierarchy, but they are also obligated to pass you/your hierarchy a tithe of their earnings. A Hon with a sufficient number of suckers guild mates beneath them in the hierarchy might eventually be able to dispense with all obligation and simply collect fees.   It doesn't matter what the product/inventory is, they simply need to sell them, or convince someone else that they'll have better luck selling them instead.   Hons are willing to do anything to make a sale or recruit a seller. They will encourage their guild members to lie to their customers and guild mates, go into debt to pay off buying inventory from the upper hierarchy, and a myriad of other underhanded playbook tactics.

Structure

The Hons have a tier based ranking dependent upon who recruited you and how many victims - er, guild members - you've recruited. The larger the selling team you've assembled beneath you - and any selling teams they assemble in turn - the higher rank you gain in prestige. (Not in actual rank - just prestige. Whoever is above you in the hierarchy will always be above you in the hierarchy. Unless you hire a Redguard.)   These ranking tiers are named after gems and precious metals to encourage guild members to strive to attain them, along with the illusion that they've acquired something precious along with the title.   However, if their sales volume drops, or they lose a member of their selling team, their rank is in jeopardy. So, to keep their shiny titles, they must push their underlings to buy inventory from the upper hierarchy and recruit more desperate people sellers.
