Alfayan Castle Town, also called Arud is both the capital and commercial center of the Kingdom of Alfaya.

Most of the population consists of nobles, the families of knights, and merchants.

The entire city is enclosed by a stone wall and can act as a stronghold in the event of an attack.

The central hub of trade and culture in the kingdom of Alfaya.

Districts

Alfayan Castle Town is most well-known for its Sunrock market square, where merchants from all across Alfaya frequent every Saturday to exchange goods. Also of note are the Timber Row District to the east and Six Valleys District to the south.

History

The town grew from a small camp where families of the knights would travel to see them and as an effort by the founding king to build a capital city where people could trade safely.

Points of interest

The Sun Rock Market Square is the center of commercial trade throughout the whole Alfaya Kingdom.

Tourism

People travel far and wide to exchange stories and goods here whether they want to participate in festivals or just to see what's in stock that week. Also, it's the closest most people will ever get to Castle Alfaya.

Architecture

The buildings are made out of a combination of wood and stone. Regardless of their material, the buildings here are some of the most colorful in all the realm.

Geography

Alfayan Castle Town is located in the center of a small plains valley. Qaka River flows through the northwestern part of the city. In fact, travelers from the north have the luxury of taking the river to a small harbor located just outside of Sunrock Square.
