The Binding Laws

A set of twelve unbreakable rules to which all the gods of the world must adhere. These laws are designed to keep the gods' power balanced and in check, and prevents them from meddling in mortal affairs.
One of the foremost tenets of the binding laws is that no god may meddle in mortal affairs. This guarantees that mortals' wills are their own.
Another of the foremost tenets is that gods may only take actions in the interest of preserving the magical balance, or protecting their domain. This ensures that no god abuses their power.
Though the binding laws are restrictive, it is worth noting that a clever god can find loopholes in these laws and exploit them to his or her benefit. The most prominent example of a god exploiting loopholes is that of Shivnath herself, when she made contact with Keriya Soulstar and enlisted her help in Allentria's war with Necrovar.
