Oloro the Orc

The Examplar of the Other Oloro Unknown Unknown (a.k.a. Possibly: "The Orc")

The nearly mythical first commander of Udaine Oliad, Oloro commanded a band of "strong men" in the area of the coast directly west of Oliaden. She was, by Imperium Codexes recording, a capable leader who fought nobly for the safety of those under her command. Her death in battle spurred Oliad to take command of the Oloros forces and become a "strong man" in her own right. This act is the catalyst of Udaines rise to power, and thus Oloro has became a figure of great importance to both historians and researches within the Imperial Temples.
While Oloro figures prominently in early Imperium doctrine, details on her personally have long faded away. For instance, whether she was a half-orc or a true orc is lost. The earliest depictions of her show both, indicating confusion amongst the historians even at the dawn of the new empire. A few scholars in Vertium are even known to contend that Oloro was no orc at all, but some other race, and "the orc" was a moniker applied to her for her strength and skill at arms. The truth of the matter will likely never be known.

Oloros' legacy to the Imperium is as a justification for their human-centric structure and policies. According the Codex of Founding, Oloro failing to protect her people, and Oliads success, is the prime example of human superiority. Udaine Oliad succeeded with a far smaller force, and went on to form a large nation, and Oloro did not. Upon this first failure all justifications of slavery and oppression are pinned.
