The first recorded days in history of the continent. The first tribes of the Myou'Jin spread across the lands in harmony with the spirits, who own it.
Until this time the indigenous people of Mentralin, the Myou'Jin, have lived in small distributed bands of mostly hunter-gatherer societies. As more and more of these groups settle down and settle into pacts with local spirits, their communities grow. This marks the beginning of singular bands to form larger tribes, that change into an agricultural society. The oldest Myou'Jin houses still trace their lineage back to these first tribes.
Among the spirits the most powerful and most venerated ones became known as Gods. Among the worlds leading civilisations the gods gather in pantheons. Their most pious followers grow into clerics and priests, who are equipped with divine favours. On Mentralin the pantheon of the Myou'Jin becomes the most spread one. Lead by the godly dragon Shenron the other gods, like Yi or Xiwangmu gain followers as well. In return they support the Myou'Jin people with longevity and deep wisdom to craft their wonders and automatons.
While trying th settle in the Old Wood on the eastern part of the content, the elder Myou'Jin house Ryuki closes a pact with the spirits who live in the old forest. It was named after the location it was closed at: Ashenvale. A beautiful valley filled with ash trees. The pact made Demetrea, the eldest of the spirits, become a god lateron and appear as rival to Shenron. The original conditions of the pact are lost, but it allowed the members of house Ryuki to settle in harmony with the old woody and mountains. Also it was the base for the spiritblood offspring of the Ryuki clan and the spirits, who made it possible for the spiritkin of the Old Wood to survive the raise of the Veil without losing their sanity.
The Xie tribe settles in the southern region of Mentralin at the river Peh and collects all its families there. This settlement houses about 1000 people at the time of its founding. It will grow to be the largest known city in the history of Mentralin, housing over two million people just before the Veil.
Over the land passage, that is now known as the Road to Al'Mahun, the native people of Al'Mahun, the Alhuni cross the Golden Sea to settle in the southeastern region of Mentralin, driven by conflict and famine in their homeland. Their first contact with the rising Myou'Jin tribes cause war and turmoil.
