Sethrael has long silver hair that reaches the middle of his back. He has many battle scars over his body but his face is flawless.
He is eager to defend the weak, and to aid any in need of assistance.
Sethrael was born to a elven Sarenrae priestess named Joandra, and never came to know his father. He was raised in a temple of Sarenrae along with his brother, Ibnjo. But that was not enough to stop him from falling in with a bad crowd of street thieves seeking magical trinkets which were commonplace in his unusual elven homeland that was rich in arcane energy. He was caught stealing a magical exilir from a noble, but spared by accepting training to become a paladin.
He was sent away to train as a Paladin, and found himself in the service of Iomadae and driven with a heroic desire to bring justice, to seek out and eradicate evil.
As Sethrael was training to be a paladin when undead attacked his homeland. Along with his brother he found his mother amongst the survivors but she was inflicted by a wasting curse, her body slowly roitting away and making her look like others also infected and turning into zombies. Her faith in Sarenrae was unwavering as was the brother paladin's faith in Iomadae, and they knew she would outlast this disease and had hope they could find a cure.
Battling those scourged by the undead as they fled their homeland was troubling. Sethrael found himself turning to drinking health and magic potions more than he actually needed to, addicted to them. His brother and mother also shared similar addictions, something due to the destruction of their arcane rich homeland they came to believe.
His brother Ibnjo, his mother Joandra, and himself traveled to the city of Westcrown in search of aid of a cure. They instead found themselves thrown into a resistance against a corrupt and evil government, the mercenaries under their command, and a secret organization pulling all the strings.
