The Roz Family

The Roz Family were among the revered family names in the history of Fain'Mohr. The Cambistra house served some of the most powerful and prominent members of the Court of Miracles during the final centuries of their rule.
When the War of Liberation was fought, the Roz family played both sides; they dealt information to either faction, amassing a great deal of gold. As the Court was beginning to weaken the Roz family doubled down on the side of liberation. They began to sell false information to the Court, sowing the seeds of uncertainty for military maneuvers. This was one of the major factors in the defeat of the court, and the Roz family were sure that those who rose to power remembered that.
In the current time the Roz family has retained much of it's wealth, but not it's network of informants. With the new nation of Estrella moving quickly beyond their reach, The Roz Family consolidated their remaining power in Fain'Mohr. There presence within the lavish city of Fain'Mohr is always felt, all one has to do is look to the west to see the Roz Family Manor. Even more impressive than the massive home is the Cynegold Plaza.
Using their fortune earned during the war, the Roz family constructed the Cynegold Plaza. This massive hotel is one of the largest and most beautiful establishments in Ish'ae. The noble, wealthy, and extravagant come the Cynegold Plaza. Usually those coming to the hotel are checking in for a combination of business and pleasure. The Plaza, as it is typically referred to by the locals, can provide anything for the right price.
The Roz family use the Plaza as their headquarters just as much as their family home. Numerous family members fill positions of power either within the Plaza or the local government, and nothing truly goes forward without their say so. Hoping to regain their former power as information brokers, the Roz family does what it has always done for generations; cater to those more powerful in hopes of rising in their station.

History

The Roz family were one of the first families to be chosen by the Court of Miracles to undergo the transformation into Cambistra. Though most of their kind were transformed to be hunters and guards for the Court, the Roz family were elevated due to their loyalty to the Court. Though they did function has guards occasionally, they were more often courtiers and servants for the Court in their pleasure city of Fain'Mohr. In lieu of the power of the Court the Roz family was in charge of the city. Through acts of cunning and dogged loyalty the family rose to greater and greater power, though no member was ever welcomed to be a member of the Court. This fostered resentment among the heads of the family.
When the war broke out, The Roz family were left with even greater autonomy in Fain'Mohr. Seeing an opportunity, some of the family spread out the land, using gold and information to gain connections throughout the nation. Very quickly the Roz family established a network of spies and informants, seemingly for the purposes of aiding the Court. Instead, the family sold secrets to both sides. Finally believing that they could only be loyal to themselves, the Roz family began to build a power base in secret.
Upon the end of the war, many informants and spies left their organization, tired of a life of subterfuge and duplicity. As their information network crumbled, the family decided to double down on the other pillar of strength; money. Using a vast fortune accrued over the years they backed many construction projects around Corcrae.
