Abraham Zhang is a teacher at
Taru International Academy, the
Master of Potions and Head of the
Herbs and Potions department. He teaches first years the Herbs and Potions class.
Zhang is known for his cheerful exterior and for his lack of both bias and interest towards a student's political or ethnic affiliation. He has a good relationship with many of the teachers at the academy, though is also known among the teachers to be a lifelong bachelor. A handsome, and rather rich, lifelong bachelor.
No teacher has ever had any luck enchanting Abraham Zhang who seems to purposefully avoid romantic relationships, despite offering plenty of wanted or unwanted advice to his peers.
Mental characteristics
Abraham Zhang does not entertain gossip or questions regarding his background. His own ethnicity is often brought into question by students and occasionally some of the teachers. Whether or not he is Cantari, Taruan, or Federation is unknown. At times, this can make him seem suspicious, but others have grown to respect Zhang's neutrality and feel it makes him an excellent teacher.
Abraham Zhang's teaching style is instructional based during a student's first couple of years. Students will carefully follow his instructions, while able to ask a few questions here and there. When students are older, Zhang's classes will begin to be more relaxed and students may have more opportunities for experimentation.
Abraham Zhang is known not to be strict on students who have brought danger upon themselves, but will have a steady talk with them to explore their motivations. Consistently reckless students are not welcome in class, as well as students who have skipped too much classes. Such students will receive extensive homework and will have to prove themselves to be allowed back.
Abraham Zhang's classes are moderately difficult. Good grades will require students to study and complete the majority of their homework.

Due to Lo Chen's gift, the relationship between himself and Abraham Zhang can be interpreted as uneasy. Lo Chen will avoid Zhang, and Zhang won't make an effort to develop a friendship between them, despite secretly respecting Lo Chen.
History
When Nekhii first became a teacher at Taru International Academy, she quickly became exhausted, as she felt the need to defend herself and her views from others. Abraham Zhang noticed Nekhii was struggling, and offered her some specially made lavender tea, designed to soothe the senses. After a heart to heart, Nekhii felt a strong connection with Abraham Zhang, who has become a figure she looks up to and trusts. While Abraham Zhang will strictly not entertain any conversation with a political charge, he offers Nekhii a chance to relax and be herself, while Abraham Zhang finds Nekhii to have a good heart and admires her youthful fire.
