A naturally cold-resistant and hardy people who originate from a distant northern continent, they arrived by longboat to, and up, the northern cliffs of Morven.   Clans:
Steinnmundr : The largest clan, has a friendly and willing-to-make-peace view of the gnolls, deals mainly in smithing / mining frost ore.
Rothos : Berserker / Warrior clan, raises dire wolves, maintains the best relations with the gnolls, fighting-orientated and thrill-seeking, often travels south
Tilvurd : Construction / Invention clan, neutral relations with gnolls who they occasionally trades with, invent new technology / operate the elevator
Geismund : Clan that opposes steinnmundr, negative relations with gnolls, probably religious / traditionalist / xenophobic
Stilya : Advanced deep-water fishing with elevator docks, neutral relations with gnolls, occasional trading

Social Structure

Clans are ruled by the founding Chieftain, and successors are decided from the most capable of the Chiefs offspring, or (more uncommon) are selected from the respect they've earned from the Clan, if the Chief has no children or none that are worthy.

Facial characteristics

Strong features, beards, and a strange practice of a majority of the northerners wear some kind of headgear at all times; why is unknown, and where this practice originated from is unknown.

Northerners view partners as someone who you trust to have your back in any conflict, be it a fight in a war or a fight at home.

The Northerners arrived at Morven along the Northern Shores, scaling its cliffs and settling across the cold biome. Steinnmundr was the first clan to be formed, close to the landing area. 5 Clans in total were formed, one to the west, one to the south, on the cliff edge built within parts of ruins, and two to the east, one closer to the middle, and the last nestled right against the cliff edge.

Historical Figures

Chief Steinnmundr, the Chieftain who lead his people across the seas from their home continent and established the first Northerner Clan, which was named in his honor. Ancestor of Ivar.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Opinions and feelings on other species are different in each clan. Steinnmundr attempts to make and keep peace between the Northerners and Southerners, and when the Lapinids are discovered in the caverns below, they make peace and begin trade between their two groups.
