Scourge of the Clouds

Long, long ago, the First World fractured into fragments and the seas dried up, leaving nothing but open space below. The world's population had no choice but to find a new way to travel between the landmasses. Before long, the scientists at Avernis discovered the soil at the base of the landmasses had unusual flotation properties; by incorporating this soil into boat repairs at the uprooted shipyards, the repaired boats could float in the sky and sail as though the sea had never dried up.   Fast forward to a few hundred years in the future. Streams of light known as skyways now safely carry ships from region to region. However, with the surge of naval trade comes the surge of pirates, and with the surge of pirates comes rumors of treasure--the most infamous of which, of course, is the legendary city of El Dorado, the city of gold.   However, you are not the only pirate crew hunting for the fabled city. You will have to contend with the royal navy, rival crews, and, perhaps, a greater power than you could ever imagine.
