Phase

Phase is a para classical element that represents phase shifting or spiritual reality, a space comprised of ectoplasm made up of dark matter and carries dark energy, it is what spirits are made of and use. Phase can be fused from the base elements Earth and Air as it embodies the solid form of Earth and the flowing non-solid of Air.

Manifestation

Essence

Phase is a tricky element to understand but can be quickly summarised by using Ghosts or Souls as representations of the element. An advanced Phase mage can displace themselves from the physical world, cutting away their physical restrictions to move freely through solid objects, float, etc. Phase magic can directly interact with spirits due it being the element that ectoplasm is made of which is what spirits are mostly made up of. Spirit interaction make Phase deadly in combat as it can be used to directly sever a spirit's connection to its body, but it can also be good for healing as it can empower a spirit allowing it to in turn boost its body's natural healing. Phase magic can also be used to create portals through a method of displacement where on contact a physical object or creature can be instantly displaced to another location, these portals are quite different to the usual reality bending portals made from other elements.  

Enchanting

Phase enchanted armor can serve several purposes, commonly it is used for regenerative properties as well as for partially displacing armor making it lighter, however it can also be used to grant the user ghost like properties where they can float and even fully pass through other objects using the armor including physical attacks, however this can leave the wearer very vulnerable to energy attacks.

Fire

Opposing, both Fire and Phase push against each other as energy.  

Water

Harmonising, both Water and Phase are free flowing where one will carry the other.  

Earth

Harmonising, Earth carries Phase and Phase carries Earth.  

Air

Harmonising, where Air carries Phase and Phase empowers the flow of Air.  

Order

Competing, where Order absorbs Phase and Phase destroys Order.  

Chaos

Harmonising, where Chaos empowers Phase and Phase incites Chaos.  

Acid

Harmonising, both Acid and Phase are free flowing where one will carry the other.  

Lava

Opposing, Lava distorts Phase and Phase resists Lava.  

Lightning

Harmonising, both elements carry each other as energy.  

Light

Opposing, both Light and Phase push against each other as energy.  

Shadow

Harmonising, Shadow carries Phase and Phase strengthens Shadow.  

Arbour

Harmonising, where Arbour carries Phase and Phase carries Arbour.  

Frost

Harmonising, Frost strengthens Phase and Phase carries Frost.  

Fae

Harmonising, Fae carries Phase and Phase strengthens Fae.  

Poison

Harmonising, Poison carries Phase and Phase boosts the flow of Poison.  

Gravity

Competing, Phase suppresses Gravity and Gravity destroys Phase.  

Quake

Competing, Phase suppresses Quake and Quake destroys Phase.  

Aether

Harmonising, Phase carries Aether and Aether strengthens Phase.  

Nether

Harmonising, Phase carries Nether and Nether strengthens Phase.  

Void

Competing, Phase overwhelms Void and Void absorbs Phase.

Localization

Phase is a lesser known element mostly mastered by more advanced cultures or specialists. It goes by many names with Phase being the most recognised across cultures, other names include: Ghost, Dimension, Soul and Spirit which is often then confused with Fae element which sometimes goes by this name.
