Revered Elder

The Revered Elder is the head of a temple of Hallisan, responsible for overseeing the management and coordination of all the Hallisan chapels in the geographic area administered by the temple.
The Revered Elder is referred to by the title Revered Mother or Revered Father, or less formally "Grandmother" or "Grandfather".
The Revered Elder is elected by the leaders of the chapels in his or her jurisdiction. Position is normally for life though it is possible although rare for a Revered Elder to choose to step down, usually for failing health.
While it is possible for any Guardian to serve the post of Revered Elder, the vast majority of the men and women elected to this post are celebrated military veterans or retired adventurers.
The Revered Elders are responsible for electing the Grand Elder, the highest mortal rank within the Guardians hierarchy.
