Northern Continent
The Northern Continent is well know for the secrets it holds. With settlements buried in the depths of caves and volcanoes, and life that would rather hide than show itself, a brave adventurer is bound to find something intriguing. And for those that just want to settle down, the Northern Continent is a much safer place to live than any where else! After all, whose going to go after a Hold carved into shear rock, or brave a firey volcano just for a little pillaging?
Geography
The Northern Continent is highly arid and volcanic; riddled with caves, mountains, and deserts, with sparse vegetation. Most people on this continent live in holds inside caves and extinct volcanic cones, and agriculture is sparse. The continent has not yet fully recovered from the Fallen Plauge 400 years ago, when a lich conjured up a swarm of locusts that ate all organic material they could find.
The volcanos on the northern continent are constantly shifting, due to the Material Plane’s lack of techtonic plates. Luckily most of the planetary activity vents to the Fire Plane, so there are only three active volcanoes on the continent - one in the far north, almost in the polar region of the planet, one in the east almost opposite of the Western Continent’s northern tip, and one on the southernmost point of the Northern Continent.

Ecosystem
Primarily prairies and early succession plants, due to the ecosystem devastation that occurred 400 years ago. Occasional patches of pine and birch forests at higher elevations, with wide swaths of desert. Sandy beaches are very common, as without vegetation erosion has done a number on the soil of this continent.
