Magical Hypersensory
Magical hypersensitivity is characterized by an intense reaction to ambient magic, and frequent adverse reactions to targeted spells and magical items. The most common form presents similarly to synesthesia, with magic overlaying itself onto one of the senses of the afflicted person. Primarily visual overlays allow the afflicted to see magic present in the environment, even spells that would ordinarily be invisible, while primarily auditory causes sounds to be emitted from spells, and primarily tactile makes magic feel differently against the skin.
This condition is highly comorbid with other hypersensitivity conditions, including autism and autoimmune disorders.

Causes
Mostly speculated to be genetic, although it is unclear wether or not forms that are linked to autoimmune conditions might be caused by the autoimmune issues.
Treatment
Primary treatment is mitigation, with most people who have magical hypersensitivity recommended to stay away from large influxes of magic. Those with particularly sensitive conditions may opt for a Micro Pegasus to help them navigate the world, as a micro Pegasus can sense magic and alert their companion away from areas that might overwhelm them or trigger an adverse reaction. Micro pegusii can also guide their companions through normal surroundings when they are overwhelmed by stimulus from their magical synesthesia.
Prognosis
Incurable, but symptoms are manageable with various mitigation techniques
Cultural Reception
Some adventuring groups and small villages consider magical sensitivity to be a beneficial condition for the community, as the afflicted person can often identify foreign and harmful magics before they begin affecting anyone else, and can help detect traps and other negative things cloaked by magic.
Other groups, particularly cities where magic is ubiquitous and unavoidable, shun those with magical sensitivity, as the overwhelming input can often render them nonfunctional. Of course, most places that would shun those with magical sensitivity reside in places that those with magical sensitivity would usually avoid.
Many people fear that their children may develop magical sensitivity, regardless of where they live, and there are many folk remedies that purport to prevent magical sensitivity during pregnancy, but none that have been proven to work.
