Call to action for archivists, historians, record keepers, and travelers interested in the culture of the Atchafalaya Basin
The Heirs of the six Houses of Atchafalaya ask for aide in preserving the cultural heritage of the bayou. During the last great Southern Storm, a great deal of damage resulted in the loss or near-loss of many of the sacred hereditary recipes that epitomize the Houses. As such, the Heirs have all agreed that it is necessary to bring in outsiders with no political affiliation to any of the Houses, or loyalty to one House over the other to act as neutral third parties to help record and preserve our traditions.
Coordination with all six Heirs, as well as their Elders will be required. Those interested should come to the Council Building in Atchafalaya on the Summer Solstice to discuss what will be needed.
