Fergio Visage
His name is Power.
Fergio was the only man in all of Sartovaa from 699-852 to know more that a couple Runes, and he mastered each and every one available to the Arcane Conservatory, numbering twenty-one. He used them all to great extent, but understanding the very component parts of the world changed him in a unique way. He no longer saw people and gods and rocks and buildings and everything around him as different, separate things. Instead, everything was a different amalgamation and number of runic notes that would bind together to create a whole. This was always on his mind, and weighed upon it.
In 699 AB, Fergio made a deal with Lofus Stormborn, Fergio would learn and control the magic, and Lofus would rule and control the city. Together, they could bring a force of stability and power, and rule themselves. They used this alliance, and a few hundred paid mercenaries, to overthrow the Verentalas, the current rulers of Golryon.
In 852 AB, Fergio was ordered by Lofus to give hundreds of commoners Runic Tattoos, to appease the masses. Fergio saw this as a failure on Lofus' part to lead the people effectively, and realized that doing such would drastically upturn the balance of magic in the Bay. Only he knew what that could cause. It was because of this that he took the First Ink and left, taking the supposed only knowledge of the Ritual of Runic Application with him.
Fergio has not been seen since, though he is undoubtedly alive somewhere, performing great feats of magic that only he could control.
In 897 AB, Fergio was revealed to have made a deal with the House Min'ekari. As the Min'ekari desired a vault more secure than any, and Fergio desired the secrets of the cosmos, they partnered to create the Liminal Vault. There, Fergio administrates his Abbey of the Magistrate, an arcane organization devoted to the worlds strangest secrets.
