The main land mass of the populated part of Sartouria lies within a large bubble dome, sort of similar to a forcefield, but it does not go the whole way over, so whilst curved, it more resembles clear walls. The top of this 'wall' is lined with electric currents, suspended by metal placeholders every hundred feet or so. Within the walls lies the majority of the civilised world, run under one dictatorship, enforced by a group of monk like people, dressed in black cloaks with red lining. Society tends to run smoothly, but most people are unhappy. There is large class divisions, and difficulty in reaching and maintaining a place in the high class society. Divisions run deeply through racism also, founded by the many different species living amongst the population. Humans and humanoid creatures are often in middle or high classes, whereas less humanoid creatures rank lower, with some rare exceptions. The world itself is formed round one large land mass, with a few small islands off of this. It is split into six main sections by the biggest rivers on the continent, one in the north, three in the south, one in the east and one in the west. The eastern district is the smallest, with the southern being the largest, and where the capital is. The emperor lives in the capital, in a grand palace, and hasn't been seen in years. The main mode of transport is trains, but different from what we are used to. They look like ski lifts, in a way, running on a similar looking rail system, but contain closed off carriages, with no access from one carriage to the next from within the train. They are quite fancy looking, and run at very high speeds, but can also be expensive, so are in-oftenly used by lower classes. The other form of transport is airships, often looking like old fashioned victorian sail boats, but smaller, and the sails are more like hot air balloons, but still resemble the shape of sails. They also have large engines on the sides, and cannot land on the ground, but instead have to be left mid air, and a ladder used, unless ground runners have been placed, in which case it may land, which is often the case in repairs, or in smaller ships.
