School of Evocation

As the most popular magic school among common Giellans, the School of Evocation has a reputation for being incredibly strong and brave. However, it does not have the best reputation with the other magic schools. When told that members of this school overused their powerful, damaging magic in situations that could have been solved diplomatically, the previous headmaster (Er'Mellet Hurmot) famously responded, "Bold words for someone within fireball range." However, most wizards do not use violence as a first resort against other humanoids. This is why the school moved towards the edge of The Shroud. They work with their team of Anjetan warriors and Warforged to stop threats before they can even reach the magical barriers set up by the School of Abjuration.
Recently, the School of Evocation has lost even more respect in the magical community. The sudden passing of Er'Mellet at the same time as a large group of strange creatures amassing in The Shroud led to Edmund Frostbrand, an Elf working closely with Lady Brinneth to be appointed in defense of Anjeta. Edmund enlisted several other elves (Medi Wanrool and Skee Elpachay) to positions of power in the school. He has been harshly accused of nepotism, and Er'Kirt Addo has specifically cited his distaste for the man.
