The Day the Goddess Stepped
It is known that the Goddess blessed us, Her people, with the mighty gift of Habi . She opened the Hub of the Wheel and allowed the Power that resides beyond to flow through and spread its tendrils among us.
There was a time when it was said that the Goddess flowed through the Wheel with the power She bestowed upon us. But this is no longer said and it was never known.
Those who said it claimed that the Goddess had taken a mortal body, tired of the fighting of Her husbands, seeking respite in the world of flesh. But this was not known and is no longer said.
If it were still said, there are those who would claim that the foot of the Goddess created The Holy Dam. They would also say that the reeds tell of a time when the Goddess would come again, for the Hub of the Wheel did fall and must be replaced. They would say that on that day, the strain on the world would surely be great, for the Goddess had created the Dam, the mightest lakes in the world, with a single step. To return the Hub to the Wheel, Her feet would need to brace upon the earth itself.
But this is merest legend, it is no longer said and it was never known.
