Evermore

A land from a fairytale

Project Infinity promised a future for humankind, if only they could endure the fragility of the arc. It was said that, far distant from their shattered home, was a paradise just waiting to be settled. They just had to do it right this time. They just had to get there first. Not this generation, maybe not the next, but perhaps the children of a generation so far down the line, the collective memory of Earth had vanished altogether, and only that hope of Evermore remained. This was humanity's last hope for a home not endlessly adrift in a void unkind, and full of secrets.
Far away in the Andromeda Galaxy is the planet Evermore, the final destination of humankind after the destruction of Earth. This blue world has provided for the descendants of Earth's survivors for several hundred years now, and unlike humanity's origin planet, Evermore is well taken care of. Its lush jungles, expansive plains, and large continents sustain the now flourishing population humans, and is united under a single banner as opposed to being governed by many countries.

Fauna & Flora

  • blue flora naturally grows here; plants with green leaves originate from Earth and were brought over on the Infinity Arc
  • Due to the type of light wavelengths that reach the planet from its home star, most vegetation is blue in color instead of the classic green of Earth. Hues and shades vary, but photosynthesis depends on blue light instead of green. Flowers, stems, roots, and other parts of the plant not used for photosynthesis can appear in any color, or even black and white, and with millions of different species worldwide, the biodiversity continues to amaze scientists.
  • the fauna, both predator and prey, are quite large, and many are aggressive no matter their primary diet
  • rainforests make up a large percentage of the habitat types on the equator; tall trees and dense undergrowth exist just as they would on Earth
  • most animals are not edible due to their blue blood, but many plants are perfectly safe to eat
  • the anatomy of the animals on Evermore is very alien compared to that of animals originating from Earth
  • plants have the same basic structure however; no matter their size or shape, they grow leaves in clusters which will point toward the sun during the day

  • Natural Resources

  • the dense rainforests provide plenty of wood to many places planet-side
  • minerals and ores can be found on the northern continent, but most minerals and ores are not sourced from Evermore
  • most animals can't be eaten, but the animals living in the oceans tend to be safe to consume
  • plenty of varieties of edible, natural plants have been cultivated, and are sustainably farmed on all continents
  • despite being inedible, some animals provide other types of resources, such as base materials used to make textiles
  • bones and other hard parts can be used to make a number of tools which cannot be artificially made
