The Volk Triage
Purpose / Function
The Triage is a medical practitioner training facility and temple to the devotees of Turos, God of Plagues. It houses patients, has onsite laboratories for potion making and extensive tomes and catalogs for training new clerics.
Alterations
When the Traige became big enough and the worship of Turos in the Barony was no longer outlawed, a training camp and barracks for the Order of the Raven was added on, further away from the river.
Architecture
Plaguebearers prefer to have buildings with high vaulted ceilings in order for maximum fresh air flow but the necessity of the Triage to have a large occupancy, has lead to an intricate system of pulleys leading up to hanging platforms and scaffolding in the upper buttresses. On the ground level, its hallways of stark white curtains, separating patients from one another while allowing for the fresh air. At the end of nearly every hallway, a statue of Turos' reaper like features, long gray cloaks with large brimmed hats and gaunt faces sit adorned with candles, medicinal herbs and a music box that plays a sweet melody in sync with the rest of the facility.
History
It was once an old storehouse but when the Plaguebearers took over, they had the Shaping Guild Vault the ceilings and transformed it into a huge, light filled, well ventilated building.
