Culture and cultural heritage
Talians build for eternity and some of their buildings are thousands of years old. Their longevity and love for details means that even common objects look like they belong in a royal mansion.
Common Etiquette rules
Talians, like most high elves, are proud people that value a noble etiquette andgeneral politeness. Clashing with this sometimes is their disdain for lies, curses and conspiracies.
Common Dress code
Talian dress code is very relaxed to the point, that one can often see naked Talians walking trough a city on a beautiful day. Most clothing articles are either used because the are simply necessary or because a Talian tries to cover up parts of themselve, that they perceive as ugly and this is also accepted and sometimes even requested by other Talians. Humans that visit talian cities are often advise to wear as much clothing as possible as covering up their ugliness would be looked favourably upon by Talians.
Art & Architecture
Most talian buildings reflect their desire for symmetry and perfection to the point that even seeimgly simple structures like a small hut need years to complete until they are fit in talian eyes. Even if it sometimes breaks symmetry, Talians love to ornate their structures with the history of their people or in the case of residential houses, the achievements of the inhabitants and their relatives.
When it comes to art, Talians prefer statues and other three-dimensional pieces over paintings or carpets. Most of their statues depict their body ideals or are used to remember the past.
Ideals
Beauty Ideals
The main point of attractiveness for Talians are their ears: The longer and straigther the better. On the other side curved or round ears are seen as ugly or even cursed. Besides the ears, Talians appreciate facial symmetry and a strong contrast between skin and eye colour (For example dark skin and light blue eyes). Breaking the symmetry of the face for example with hetechromic eyes is extremly ugly for a Talian and cant even be compensated for with long ears.
Gender Ideals
Because High Elf decide their gender when they become adults, most elvish people make no difference between genders and the Talians are no exception to this.
Relationship Ideals
As High Elves generally have very low birth rates due to their low fertility and verility, talians usually have very open relationships until they have at least one child. Even after that there are only few mongamic pairs and even fewer without a child. For the same reason purely homosexual Talians are also scorned by others but they have no problems with bisexuals as their main priority is simply more offspring to slow down the extinction of the high elven race.
