In the land of harsh deserts a nation of lizard-folk people lived as nomad and in caves. Then they began to build city-states across the deserts, great limestone walled cities around oasis as havens in the wastelands. Life is not easy, most have to work hard to survive, but as long as they keep inside the walls of the oasis-holds they are safe.
Outside the walls lay wurms, anomalies,bandits and possibly monsters. It's not hopeless; many have made the trek to other oasis-holds, and even live out in the wastes, but far safer inside than out   The quality of life in cities has vastly improved since the last king of Saltha, Kakela, was overthrown in a bloody coup., and in it's place a republic was born.
