Kes are large four-footed reptilian herbivore creatures. They are commonly used as riding animals, or to pull carts or carry loads on their backs.
Description
Kes grow to be up to around ten feet long and four feet high, with males growing slightly larger than females. Males have spins that run down the back of their heads to the spine of their heads. Kes have a thick skin that resembles a natural chain-mail.Temperament
Kes are known to be suborn and temperamental, particularly towards people who mistreat them.Diet
Kes are omnivores, and in the wild tends to eat primarily vegetation (such as cactus, brush plants, fruit and berries), insects and small reptiles and mammals.Ecology & Habitat

Kes have fairly poor hearing, but have fair vision during the day, but have poor night vision. It can distinguish colors, but has trouble seeing stationary objects. They tend to use their tongue fir taste and smell stimuli.Mating and Reproduction
Kes mate in pairs for life, and mate by the male inserting one his hemipenises into the female's cloaca. A clutch is laid around 8 months after mating. A clutch is usually around 10 eggs.Domestication History and Uses
The use of Kes dates back to the middle of the divided kingdom period at the very earliest. There are drawings and writings of domesticated Kes dating back to around 4,000 KG. Generally males are used for pulling carts or heavy equipment, and females are used as mounts, such as in Calvary combat and desert travel, since females lack the spines, making them more convenient to ride on.
